The last couple days at the villa have been increíble. We started the morning off yesterday with an estuary tour, paddling in canoes in Playa Grande, followed by a ceramics class in San Vicente. We learned how to manipulate clay and manage the pottery wheel. Today, we headed by boat to Playa Penca, where we spent the morning swimming and competing in a sand castle competition. In the afternoon, we prepared for our time in Silencio by going on a “spirit quest,” where we talked about who benefits from service, relationship building and cultural exchange in Silencio, and how we operate as a team. We ended the day with bracelet making, swimming, and making guacamole and smoothies together. We’ll reunite with our friends in the Silencio group tomorrow in Rancho Margot, and we can’t wait to visit Volcán Arenal.
Pura vida!
