The villa group went snorkeling this morning! We were picked up by boat on the shores of Playa Hermosa and rode out to a nearby island, where we spotted fish and sea urchins. Afterward, we headed over to a quiet beach where the water was a beautiful, clear turquoise. At the beach, we snacked on piña, swam, and relaxed on the sand.

In the afternoon, we did a scavenger hunt through Playa Hermosa to get to know the area. Two of the activities in the scavenger hunt were for one of the team members to get a henna tattoo and to try granizado, shaved ice with flavoring, condensed milk, a marshmallow, and a cookie-straw. They were so popular that everyone wanted both a granizado and a henna tattoo, so we headed back to the beach after the scavenger hunt to get one of each for each student. It was a lovely afternoon on the beach, comparing our new “ink” and sipping on our sweet treats.
